EDURA NEWS, JAKARTA – Jakarta State University (UNJ) Postgraduate held an event entitled “Acceleration of UNJ’s Human Resources with International Reputation Through Overseas Scholarships and International Collaborative Research” on Tuesday, (13/7). This event was held online via Zoom and broadcast live on the UNJ Postgraduate Youtube channel.

Director of Postgraduate UNJ Prof. Nadiroh in his speech said that the main work indicator of lecturers at the Ministry of Education and Culture is one of them “off-campus lecturers”. Off-campus lecturers are the percentage of lecturers who carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education outside the campus. For students, UNJ Postgraduate has an Erasmus Member, this Erasmus Member is not only for off-campus lectures for one semester, but also for lecturer research.

Prof. Dr. Nadiroh said the reason his party was enthusiastic about this was because to teach there were conditions, ideally all lecturers in Postgraduates must have reputable international publications.

“Thus, if we resonate in the international arena, get scholarships from the state, Indonesian funds for the world, improve UNJ’s superior human resources for advanced Indonesia,” he said.

Furthermore, the Head of the Education Financing Center of the Kemendikbudristek Abdul Kahar in this event explained government facilities through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) RI.

“Currently the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology is trying its best to make breakthroughs, both in the form of activities from learning outcomes and efforts to improve human resources, not only for the general public but also for lecturers.

Starting in 2021, the type of service that is the favorite in Indonesia, namely scholarships at LPDP, has been managed by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This year, LPDP is still managing Affirmation Scholarships, Targeted Scholarships, and General Scholarships.

However, this year the Ministry of Education and Culture specifically managed programs such as the Merdeka Campus, Lecturer and Educator Program, Teacher and Education Program, Vocational Program, Achievement Program, and Cultural Scholarship. Funding comes from funds managed by the LPDP. In an effort to establish Superior Human Resources, the Ministry of Education and Culture and LPDP have collaborated to expand the scope of the Education Endowment Fund.

” Insha Allah,  in 2022 we will carry out more programs in order to optimize funds from the results of the development of the Education Endowment Fund,” he said.
